Following up on my first iPad report, I must report I still love my iPad and have used it as a laptop replacement for 3 international trips since the first post.
Adding to the points covered in that first report, Im happy to say there have been no major additions to the drawbacks. The lack of Ethernet support bit me in the ass again as the hotel I stayed in had no wifi coverage on my floor. I guess I will start hunting for a tiny wifi AP that I can plug in to the ethernet that supplies my devices with life.
I lost 25 minutes of work due to the WordPress App (read my hateful tirade) which ticked me off a bit. The bluetooth keyboard support is still a little lame (some of the modifier keys don’t work which really screws me over when using SSH apps) but word is that iOS 4 for iPad should address that shortcoming.
I used these guides (gizmodo and Joels report) to get some movies on and had enough juice to watch about 5 HD movies/TV shows back to back on the long flight stretches.
