VMware Fusion 3.1.0: Better device support
Posted by Erixun in Virtualization on June 4, 2010
The latest upgrade to VMware’s virtualization application for OS X sports better device support.
In previous versions, whichever window had focus would automatically grab whatever device is plugged in during that particular time period that the window has focus.
This was inconvenient at times (lets say you had 4 windows open (4 different OS’s) and you plugged in your phone for USB charging or file sync and it disturbs a process running in a VM window) but now regardless of the window focus, VM will ask you what you want to do and can remember your decision based on the device. Awesome!
3.1.0 also seams much faster in VM loading and operations (snapshots etc..).
