A very cool iPhone App that allows you to use the camera and see translated text in real time and in place. Its very cool when you first try it.

So far its only for Spanish and while the app is free to buy, u must buy the Spanish dictionary for 4 bucks. That decision may ruin the chances of this little app to become popular and ultimately financially successful for the producers. Paying 4 bucks a language for an app you might use once in a while is just not in the main tradition of the 0.99 apps for trivial tasks that iTunes is famous for.

This is a very great idea for managing passwords over an organization. Sometimes you forget who gets access to which resources and who has passwords for which services. OneLogin eliminates those concerns by granting access without actually giving out passwords. This way you can grant and revoke access to users on the fly without having to change passwords across the board. This is particularly useful for services that have single user logins (company twitter, facebook, blog, AWS) but require multiple contributors or editors.

The system uses state of the art credential management (OpenID and SAML) to pass credentials securely without exposing them to the individual user.

I think the pricing is a bit expensive (5 bucks per user per month) so most smaller organizations won’t use this (20 users = 100 bucks a month). Maybe if they offered a limited version (max 10 login items etc..) and brought the pricing down to 1 buck per user and this might catch on to overhead-aware smaller organizations.

Viber for iPhones works very similarly to WhatsApp in that it automatically checks your phone book for other Viber users. An interesting look at the speed of the Playbooks browser. Obviously RIM had some time to gather feedback and intel from Apples first leap into the tablet arena, but kudos to them for the result. There is a marked difference.

Take into account the Playbook has dual core functionality in the CPU chipset over single core in the iPad, the iPad does a decent job in keeping up.

When the iPad version 2 makes an appearance I believe this is where some improvements will be felt (browsing experience… yet I don’t think Flash support will be thrown in).
