Hawaii Five 0 – Entertaining
I finally got around to catching up with Hawaii Five 0. The pilot was not bad for a series episode. It ran more like a mini action movie (I hear it cost 8 million to make).
While its fun and attention holding, its nothing outstanding. I figure since they are doing a remake they are slightly held back in their writing department. I find it on par with NCIS: Los Angeles (which for the record I enjoy watching).

True Blood Season 3
SPOLIER ALERT!
Season 3 redeems the series completely. 1 was a warm up, 2 was lamer than a three legged caterpillar (all that side show about the church of light and Marianne) but now there is season 3 that brings us back to the original story of Sookie and Bill. There is lots of excitement, action and drama in the vampire world, Werewolves are introduced into the plot and we finally find out WHAT Sookie is.
All round an excellent season.

24′s Dana Walsh: Sideshow evolves
Dana Walsh’ character (played by Katee Sackhoff) morphs from an unrealistic sideshow to an enraging key character.
SPOLIER ALERT (if you have not seen up until episode 16 of season 8, don’t read this review) Some seasons of 24 had their stupid sideshows (remember Kim getting attacked by a mountain lion and spraining her ankle…) and when season 8 started to unfold, Dana’s little sideshow seamed to be going down that route. More than a sideshow it was totally unbelievable:- A person with a criminal past CANNOT scrub their identity clean enough to get a job at CTU. Yes, its a fictional agency, but in the show it has direct contact with the President, its own strike teams with go-anywhere powers, access to all the governmental acronyms resources and top talent from their fields. Its equivalent in real life would be very high up the food chain and the background checks would be exhaustive and invasive.
- A facility as secure as CTU would never allow a felon to come and visit an employee at the premises (when her ex shows up in his beater van to talk with her outside the door).
- Access to information necessary to pull off their little robbery must trigger alarms and flags all over the place. If tools are built in to the system to allow easy access, there will be checks and balances. Its hard to believe one employee of one agency can orchestrate a heist in 7 minutes with absolutely no immediate consequences.
- A facility as important as CTU would never allow some unshaven parole officer to come onto the operations floor while investigating an AWOL criminal regardless of paperwork he files.
- If she is such a badass, why did she dance with her ex for so long? Why not pop him or set him up to get pwned from the beginning? She is about to betray her country and willingly assist in the murder of tens of thousands of New Yorkers, so throwing in the love and friendship argument is pointless.
- If she is such a wizard at computing and surveillance, why allow the parole officer to even arrive at CTU? This was her big payday, she would have known he was a fly in the ointment and could easily have delayed him with traffic, gotten him cited or flagged for something, sent him to the wrong location or worse. By the time he figured it out she would have been gone with her cash.

The Pacific IV: Borderline
Having failed miserably in episode III, HBO needed to pack a punch to regain the hype. Sadly, they barely skidded the FAIL line again!
Some battle scenes, some carnage, lots of drudgery. I still think that HBO is catering to the wrong crowd. Guys like us who followed Band of Brothers with a passion are starting to get a little disillusioned with all the character play and lack of violence. Episode IV is 50% drama about Lucky’s urinary track infection. WTF!!! There is a bonzai charge that saves this episode from FAIL…… but a very close save.

TV deal reflecting our economy NBC announced today that in the fall Jay Leno would be on the air at 10PM every weeknight. The Pacific – Part III: Fail!
The third episode of The Pacific tries to explain and portray deep changes in lead characters while on furlough in Australia. Its nothing more than drunk Marines trying to get laid with a 5 second fight and a 7 second nudity scene. They (Speil and Hanks) should know better. A majority of the audience who watch The awesome new Pacific mini series are not interested in background or character studies. Yes, we know that war changed these guys lives, and yes we know they had it rough, but dedicating a whole episode to this was a severe let down. We watch this for epic battles, realistic war scenes, banzai charges, hand to hand combat and exploding bodies. The first 2 episodes really give us what we want with minimal ‘story’ around the characters. The Greek chick showing some skin saved part 3 from the lame category, but otherwise could have skipped this episode and not missed a thing.

Chuck: Close… but no cigar!
Posted by Erixun in Entertainment, Series on May 19, 2008
1. What device is Bryce using and Jesus titty fucking Christ what the hell wireless service is he using? For you who did not watch this….. a turned SeeEyeA agent breaks into a next-gen data center, hacks the mainframe and downloads the entire USA dirty diaper directory onto some kind of device, he then “emails” this data to his nerdy friend b4 getting shot.
The show shows this emailing activity being done in a mere seconds sooooo…. either the US does not have much dirty laundry oooorrrr…. he has a kickass wireless service that can upload gigabytes if not terabytes of data in a few mere seconds. If the later is the correct answer WHERE CAN I SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE??
2. Chuck downloads his email and the “file” plays seamlessly on his computer in fullscreen mode… no nags about missing plugins or software. From the show it looks like he is running linux, but still… I can hardly watch CNN streams without plugin nags. Soooooo, what software / media player runs secret SeeEyeA files that could be terabytes in size seamlessly? Also, Chuck must have some kickass broadband at his home to download his email eh?
3. A ninja chick breaks into his house and drops his computer “breaking” the harddrive and ruining his email dbase so there is no copy of this secret file. WTF!!! Have the show creators not watched CSI? Grissom would have A: Gone to the email host and gotten a copy of the file! B: Nick would have re-constituted the platters and retrieved the data! C: What f**king email host allows terabyte file attachments? Do the show creators think we are all so ignorant we’ve never tried to email a video file of little Justins birthday party?
