The new Micro-SIM format that the Apple iPad will use.
Wiki article
Chances are Apple is going with this new format to prevent existing iPhone users from swapping SIM cards on the fly thus forcing them to open a new subscription specifically for their iPad (and hence sending mega-bucks marching to their corporate partner AT$T who rumor has it co-funds the R&D for Apples new mobile devices)

I picked this remarkable mobile battery up on a flight out of the duty free (approx 99 USD) magazine on a trip where I knew power would be scarce. After that trip it has become a trusty ‘grab-first’ item during packing before every trip. Its simple, robust and so far has worked with every device I’ve needed it to work with. I get about 2 charges on my iPhone 3GS out of it and it holds its charge well. There is a button on the front that activates a 4 button display of available juice and while rudimentary it gets the job done. I have not used that many mobile batteries but this one has been a great experience so far. I do wish it was a bit slimmer tho.
