(image from winandmac | image link) Dell released an option to upgrade a Dell Precisions RAM to 32 Gb, an industry first (actually an all-time first). In its blog, Dell specifically mentions the Oil and Gas industry and talks about scanning larger areas for oil deposits. With that kind of power, many other industries could now go mobile. Think of field admins in the security industry needing to run complex operations on crypto ciphers or DBA’s needing to run heavy dbase operations.
