Liberty Electric Cars have modified a Range Rover to zero emission, full electric with a range of 200 miles per charge. That is not too shaby. A petrol/gas version is hungry as a @#$%^&* so this will greatly both help the environment and your gas budget. The 100,000+ quid price tag for the modifications alone is quite a steep bill. I guess we need to ask ourselves… how much is the environment worth? An interesting side note is the charging process. They have used induction to facilitate the charge so in essence its wireless charging. I would imagine there is a device that sits in your garage that when you park, u line up close to this device and thats it. No need to go and plug anything in, stretch an extension cable across the floor or fiddle with the right socket. The only thing is then, what do you do on road trips? I guess there is a portable version of the charging device that would plug into the wall somehow. Or maybe you have to tow a generator on a trailer when you go long distances. Wait a minute, what does the generator use to create energy…. unless its a portable nuclear or fission reactor, I think we’re back to square one.
